What We Believe

 As a Calvary Chapel affiliated ministry, Help The Harvest has been formed as a fellowship of believers in the Lordship of Jesus Christ via the World Wide Web (WWW) and the media resources supported by it. Our supreme desire is to know Christ and to be conformed into His image by the power of the Holy Spirit. Our role in this is to assist in preparing saints for the harvest field and to bring a focus on overlooked and forgotten mission fields/missionaries, through the use of this powerful tool.

In this regard, we present the following:

  • We believe that we become S.A.I.N.T.S. (Saved And Inspired Not To Sin) the moment we are born from above, by grace thru faith in Jesus Christ, it is a free gift from God…not by works so no man may boast (Eph 2:8-9)
  • We believe that the Spirit of Grace (Holy Spirit) now indwells us as Christ’s Advocate to form Christ in us, transform us by the renewing of our minds and conform us into being the witnesses He desires us to be, and to fulfill the hope of His calling upon our lives as we become His living sacrifices (Rom 12:1-2)
  • We believe that we are declared saints (Justified) by God the moment we are saved, are forgiven of all of our sins, and have Christ’s imputed Righteousness accounted to us (Rom 4:23-25)
  • We believe we also have Christ’s Righteousness imparted to us through the teaching of the Word and the sanctifying/conforming work of His Holy Spirit, growing us in Christ and producing the fruit of the spirit within us, thru this personal relationship with Him (Jn 8:31-32)
  • We believe this growth/discipling of the saints is most effective when done via the whole counsel of God (Acts 20:27), and we do so by “simply teaching the word, simply” just as Pastor Chuck Smith taught us (verse by verse)
  • We believe that the only true basis of Christian fellowship is His (Agape) love, which is greater than any differences we possess and without which we have no right to claim ourselves Christians. (Jn 15:12)
  • We believe we are to remain flexible and yielded to the leading of the Holy Spirit to direct our worship. And we believe that being yoked to Christ enables us to fulfill the hope of God’s calling and this surrender is the greatest form of worship (Matt 11:28-30)
  • We believe that Jesus will do it all: in, to & through us…as we are yoked to Him…as we are God’s workmanship (Eph 2:10), and He has prepared good works for us to do beforehand (because we are saved, and not to be saved)
  • We believe worship of God is fruitful. Therefore, we look for His love in our lives as the supreme manifestation that we have truly been worshiping in Him, as the fruit of the Spirit is grown in us (Gal 5:22-23)
  • We believe where God guides, He provides….But He does so through His people, and we reap what we sow.  Therefore, our ministry is to provide God led and supplied resources to those called, prepared, and sent to further His Kingdom (Gal 6:7-10)
